bookbinder flea market finds: Go back book

in bookbinding circles, particularly among amateurs, individual terms with some respect thrown in the discussions. The "jump back" is one: Many know what it means, few have ever had in one hand, hardly anyone has ever built one. See also http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sprungrückenbuch
The nice thing is that one of the most massive jump back books always lies flat when the page is folded. It scrolls just not around and keep the Steep with the flat hand down, no, the half of the book is currently being used for writing to flat.
I can buy my belt at the flea market is very cheap, and I thought I could bind the beautiful sound hard, bright blue paper with its wonderfully smooth surface a few new notebooks with leather cover.
But after closer discussion, I realized what I as for a few euros had purchased: a jump back point in nearly 4 mm thick cardboard and red-brown buckram bound, cover with gold embossed, 2-line entitled "Correspondence tab, two-tone, dual front and consequent (issue of intent / sewn endsheet), format ca 32 x 33 x 2.5 cm), 88 Journal of machine-made paper, smooth, watermarks from Wiggins, Teape & Co, probably early 50s. All in excellent condition, cover and back are faded, the speckled cut is perfect. Det Janze müffelt age-appropriate, but cat litter is waiting.
