Basic concepts: the prisoners, the limitations of isolation, the prison, social connections, the prison sentence.
Personal liberty is one of the fundamental freedoms of the people who are not just nationally, but is fixed at the international level. Why must the freedom of the person to intervene only on the basis of a law, that is, the person must be sentenced by the court to a prison term.
On 1 January 2009 lost in Lithuania from 7447, the prisoners in prison. This figure shows that the courts often impose imprisonment on a person, so there is a need to define the limits of the insulation. The necessary isolation of the prisoners is not only one of the fundamental demands of the regime, but also one of the goals of punishment, as defined in Part 2 of Article 41 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania. However, the limitations of isolation are not determined precisely, and human rights and social relations of prisoners with the outside world are not always guaranteed. There are the following objectives of the prisoners Insulation: retribution, prevention, Reabilitation, differentiation, etc. These goals justify the exclusion of prisoners from society, so the offender can not commit future criminal offenses and the amendment process of the prisoners is as effective as possible. But some specific objectives of the insulation, such as ensuring the limitation of the relationship between the prisoner and his relatives and other persons in accordance with international instruments do not regulate the basic provisions of the penal system. The isolation of the prisoners must also use the engineering and technical resources to ensure that the relationships but should not be limited to the outside world too much. Among these agents is new to be mentioned: the establishment of mobile phone jammers in certain Justizvolzugsanstalten, such as in prisons in Alytus and Marijampole. According to the international legal acts, the degree of isolation of prisoners as low be possible, so that the prisoners maintain close relations with the outside world can do what exercises a great influence on the amendment process. Therefore, national legislation can be improved, because the social connections are an essential condition for socialization and resocialization of the people.
